Letter to the editor of the
ProChoice –
A recent editorial in
the SCD (Feb 4) stated, "What's important right now is
unity -
not nasty divisiveness. We can agree to
disagree ... and then move on." What a blessing, Americans have
"freedom of choice" to express opinions without fear - to practice
“tolerance” – to respect the opinions of others without agreeing with
them. How would you like to be President?
What questions
would you ask ...? Should we wait until
innocent people are killed? Should we avoid conflict at all costs? What
if
Saddam strikes first? Should I risk the “wrath” of the people or base
my
decision on a public poll? Is it
probable that a biological, chemical or nuclear attack will be made by
the
government (not the people) of
2 Chronicles
1 Timothy 2:1, 2 “Therefore
I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all
men, for kings (I assume this means
Presidents as well) and all who are in
authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness
and
reverence.”

It’s possible we can disagree while asking for
divine
guidance for our leaders and for mercy upon our enemies. What if the
Bible is
true?
