Today’s Text: (EZEKIEL 3:16ff; 33:1-9)
(January 13th 1947) Dr Peter Marshall, a Presbyterian minister, was
elected Chaplain of the US Senate. He called upon America to make a
decision:
“The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or
compromise, discipline or disintegration. I am rather tired of hearing
about our rights and privileges as American citizens. The time is come
- it now is - when we ought to hear about the duties and
responsibilities of our citizenship. America’s future depends upon her
accepting and demonstrating God’s government.” (Flood,Robert. The

NOT ME - WHO?
Ezek. 3:16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me: 17
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so
hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.
Jesus said we are to be LIGHT and SALT - ARE YOU?
Matt. 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth....”
Matt. 5:14 “You are the light of the world.
ARE YOU ASHAMED?
Mark 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous
and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he
comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
Rom. 1:16 (PAUL SAID) I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the
Jew, then for the Gentile.”
IF NOT ME - WHO?
AS MINISTERS IN THE BODY OF CHRIST WE ARE TO WARN THE UNRIGHTEOUS THAT
THEY WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND SALVATION IF THEY DO
NOT REPENT
IF “HELL” REALLY EXISTS - AND THE BIBLE SAYS IT DOES - “WHY ARE WE NOT
DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO PREVENT OUR LOVED ONES, OUR NEIGHBORS, OUR
FRIENDS FROM GOING THERE?
CHARLES SPURGEON HAD IT RIGHT WHEN HE SAID;
“IF SINNERS BE DAMNED, AT LEAST LET THEM LEAP TO HELL OVER OUR BODIES.
IF THEY WILL PERISH, LET THEM PERISH WITH OUR ARMS ABOUT THEIR KNEES.
LET NO ONE GO THERE UNWARNED AND UNPRAYED FOR.”
1Cor. 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom
of God? ....”
Gal. 5:19 “.... I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like
this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Eph. 5 :5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy
person —such a man is an idolater —has any inheritance in the kingdom
of Christ and of God.
Romans 8: 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will
die; .....
DO NOT BE AFRAID - DO NOT BE ASHAMED - HE IS WITH YOU Matt. 28:18 Then
Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Acts 20:26 Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the
blood of all men. 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the
whole will of God.
